Christmas in July

Standard

Yesterday was my Christmas in July class, using the Winter Post stamp set.  Thanks to all of the the ladies who attended (hope you had fun), and thanks to my kids who turned our stampin area back into the family/dining room in 15 minutes flat  (the promise of takeaway pizza didn’t hurt!).

Here are the cards we created, and one of the tags.

The first card was inspired by one on Splitcoast Stampers:

The next card was inspired by one in similar colours by Mary Fish.  The Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Basic Black colour scheme is crisp and clean for a completely different look to the first card.

The layout for the third card came from Cindy Major’s blog.  I used her concept, and changed it up to suit the Winter Post stamp set.  The designer series paper on this card is Baja Breeze Patterns, it’s a great way to used ‘everyday’ paper to suit almost any occasion.

This is one of the tags we created (I’m having difficulty getting decent photos of the other two).  It’s simply a 3×3 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, with a strip of designer series paper down the side.  The skaters were coloured in using Blender Pens.

That’s it for now – hope you enjoyed having a peek at the cards from our class.
