Those who have attended a workshop lately will have seen the altered notebook I created based on one in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue (I’ll post a pic of it tomorrow). Here is another notebook I made recently. This one was a birthday gift, along with some pencils, for a 6 year old girl.
The notebook is a 192 page exercise book from Kmart. I’ve rounded the corners using my corner rounder – it really only takes a couple of minutes to do this, and the effect is definitely worth it!
The book has been covered in Pink Flamingo designer series paper. The gorgeous design virtually eliminates the need for further decoration. The spine of the book is Pacific Point cardstock (adhered with sticky strip so it doesn’t come off), I’ve covered the join in papers with Pacific Point striped ribbon.
The chipboard letters and hearts have been covered in Heat and Stick powder, and then blue Chunky Glitter. To ensure the chipboard stays put, I’ve adhered it using Tombow.
My almost 8yo has requested a notebook like this for her birthday, they make great kids gifts. Check back tomorrow for another notebook sample.
