Bundle of Joy

This is the card that we have posted up to Queensland, to welcome the arrival of our new nephew and cousin.  I cased the design from Beate’s blog, quite some time ago.

Onto the card details:

The card base is made using Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The first layer is a piece of the Spring Showers designer paper.  Even though this is not shown in the new catalogue, you can still purchase a pack of it for the bargain price of $11.95.  The edges of the designer paper have been lightly sanded to reveal the white core.

The next layer is a piece of Whisper White, I’ve doodled around the edges using my Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write Marker.  On top of that is a piece of the retired Recollections designer paper.  The top left corner is a triangle of Whisper White, that I cut in half.  I’ve doodled around the edges again, and added a brad from the Vintage Brads assortment.

The giraffe from the super cute Bundle of Joy set has been stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  I coloured him in with our Watercolour pencils.  The layers underneath the image are Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip respectively.

The tab on the side has been stamped using ‘Sweetheart’ from Bundle of Joy, and cut out with the Round Tab Punch.  I’ve stamped the word ‘welcome’ from Warm Words on the designer paper, using Chocolate Chip ink.
